International Women's Day Doodle 2014

Today, I learned more shocking statistics and facts about the life of women, such as female genital mutilation, violence, marriage and working rights. The Independent and The Guardian ran a fantastic story regarding International Women's day, definitely worth reading about!

Today is an opportunity for me to remember how lucky I am to live freely in London and to do what I love. Too many of us don't have that chance.
The struggles of women do not just belong to one single person, or group or gender, its a world issue which we must fight for change.

Happy International Women's day
with some of my 'Rubies in the Dust' characters made of recycled frocks
